Phantom Blade Zero weapons list

Last updated

This page is being rebuilt from public sources as the full release is documented. Demo-era figures and details are labelled where they still apply.

How many weapons are in Phantom Blade Zero

Fextralife’s demo-era reference reports roughly 30 primary blades across Single Blades, Twin Blades and Heavy Blades. Its primary weapons are all blades: combat centres on blade-on-blade deflection and parrying.[1]

Separately, the PlayStation Blog’s 17 August 2026 release preview reports 30-plus primary weapons and 25 Phantom Edges. These are the figures given in S-GAME’s pre-release write-up, kept distinct here from the demo-era count.[2]

Weapon types

Single Blades

Single Blades is one of the primary blade categories named in the demo-era reference. It belongs to the primary group rather than the secondary Phantom Edges. Our source notes do not establish which of the documented weapon names belong to Single Blades.[1]

Twin Blades

Twin Blades is another named primary category in the demo-era reference, separate from the secondary Phantom Edges. Although the reference also uses dual swords, we have no verified mapping between those labels. Names such as Sanguine Twin or White Serpent & Crimson Viper are not enough to establish a Twin Blades assignment.[1]

Heavy Blades

Heavy Blades is listed among primary blades; axes and hammers are described separately as Phantom Edges. Juggernaut has a documented parry-charged cleave, but that moveset alone does not establish a Heavy Blades classification. We have no verified assignment of the named weapons to this category.[1]

Our source also uses the terms regular, long and dual swords. This guide does not map that naming system onto Single Blades, Twin Blades and Heavy Blades.[1]

Do weapons have unique movesets?

Yes. Individual weapons have distinct movesets, including weapons within the same category. The documented examples include the chakrams of Seamless Death, a Juggernaut cleave charged through parrying, and a Drunken Sword counter following a last-second dodge.[1]

Can you switch weapons?

The demo-era loadout holds two primary weapons and two Phantom Edges. Switching primary weapons during a combo triggers a quick attack automatically, allowing the combo to continue through the switch. Switching has a cooldown because each weapon uses its own stamina bar.[1]

Phantom Edges (secondary weapons)

Phantom Edges are secondary weapons, with bows, hand cannons, axes and hammers among the documented examples. The restriction to blades applies to primary weapons, not to this secondary group. Phantom Edges can drop from bosses: the source gives Bashpole, obtained from Wan Jun “Coppermaul”, as one example.[1]
